Autism is not a disease. The autistic brain is just hard-wired differently. We autistic people are simply different, in a challenging but good way.
Autism is a different way of being and not a disease. It’s not just some flaw in the brain, but a variation in human experience. We autistic people face different challenges and have many strengths that our society needs to recognize. To understand these differences and value them as part of our diversity is key to unlocking humanity’s full potential. Autism isn’t something we should aim to cure. It is not curable, as it is not a disease, and no need is needed anyway. Autism is a neurological variation, that enriches our society and humanity.
